We are pleased to advise all our patients that Ravensthorpe Health Centre has been fully restored to working order following on from an electrical fire in the boiler room on the ground floor in the early hours Tuesday 8th October.
At North Road Suite we immediately instigated our full business continuity plan and established essential patient services which we were able to provide from Dewsbury Health Centre on Wednesday 9th October including full phone access for our patients.
We want to thank our patients for their patience and understanding during this very challenging time and especially kind messages of concern and well wished to our team members. Patients, local businesses and the local Ravensthorpe Community Centre have been most kind in supporting us with access to facilities for our teams manning the doors. Patients brought food for our staffs and Gregg’s provided drinks vouchers so very much appreciated.
The NRS Partners, Management and all the staffs want to pay tribute to the speedy responses and support provided especially by Rebecca at Mitie Building Management Services, Anna at NHS Property Services, Ian Head of I.T, James from the IT department and Natalie at North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group. All of these people and their teams enabled us to provide services for our patients within 12 hours of this incident.
In particular we also want to thank our colleagues in neighbouring Practices – Clare Practice Manager at Calder View, Lauren Practice Manager at Eightlands and Janey at Batley Health Centre, who provided space within their Practices in which we could operate, this wain addition to the main vacant surgery premises on the first floor of Dewsbury Health Centre.
Dr Chandra would like to thank all of the team at NRS for their amazing efforts and commitment that went into providing the continuation of patient services with as little disruption as possible. We also want to thank Julie our Patient Group Chair and Zahid Deputy Chair for their support during this time.
All patients with booked appointments for week commencing the 14th October should attend them as normal from North Road Suite.
