If you need to see a GP when the Practice is closed over the Bank Holiday period when the Practice is closed, please call the NHS 111 Service (Dial 111). Please note sometimes the lines can be busy but your call will always be answered. The NHS 111 service will assess your medical condition and if you need to be seen they can book you in to the ‘Local Extended Access GP Appointments’ which are held at Dewsbury Health Centre access is from the bottom car park entrance.

Repeat medication ordering over Bank Holidays 2019
Please make sure you have ordered any repeat medication you may require to last over the Bank Holiday periods.
You can then order your medication 24/7 which saves you a visit to the Practice.
- VIA YOUR GREEN REPEAT SCRIPT please make sure you have checked the table below when you medication request will have been processed.
- NOMINATED PHARMACY? if you have repeat medication please make sure you have nominated a pharmacy so that the GP can send your prescription ‘electronically’ direct to the pharmacy you have chosen. This is a safe method for the GP, saves clinical time and is a secure method. It saves you time not having to come to the surgery to collect your repeat prescription.
- Please note have a specially trained team to process repeat medication. Each prescription takes several steps to process and we cannot take requests for medication over the phone. We appreciate at this busy time some patients may forget to order their medications in time this is why we are asking all patients to check their medication in good time. We do not expect patients to go without medication please speak to one of our senior team if you have forgotten to order.
